Tips to reduce stress.

1. Try to relax by doing a relaxation exercise.

2. Think of something you used to enjoy, but just don't get around to do. An old friend whom you haven't seen in a long time, or an old hobby. Is it possible to pick that up again?

3. Try to plan and organise everything you're going to do today. Create some time for a relaxing activity, how small it may be. Relaxing activities like that will give you some energy. Make a to do-list for today and for a longer period of time.

4. Do you have to do everything today or is there room for modification?

5. Are you worrying a lot? Pondering is pointless and wastes a lot of energy. If you find it difficult to stop pondering, try to limit it to half an hour a day. Within that half an hour, you have to ponder. The rest of the day you're not allowed to!

6. A massage works stress reducing.

7. Coffee is energizing and can therefore enhance the level of stress. Try to limit the use of coffee.

8. How difficult it may be: try to monitor your own limits. See if you can discover how you notice that you've reached a limit (or if someone else reached yours). People often notice that by physical signs: they start to sweat, become warm and feel tight in the chest.

9. Try to talk to someone you trust about your problem, open up your heart. If you find that difficult, you can also write about yourt problems. You might find that difficult in the beginning but after a couple of sessions it will become calming and pleasant.
