Yoga to reduce stress

 

Yoga is an excellent way to reduce stress. Yoga series contain both moving and stationary poses, combined with deep breathing. The physical and mental benefits of yoga provide a natural counterbalance to stress and strengthen the relaxation response in your daily life.

 

 

 

The lessons that contain slow, gentle movements and stretching quietly are best to reduce stress. Power Yoga, with its emphasis on intense attitudes and intense focus on fitness, is not the best choice. You can always consult the instructor about which format is best for you.

 

You learn yoga best from a yoga teacher, because injuries can occur if it is improperly implemented. Once you know the basics, then you always can  continue alone. Or with others.
